This article introduces the nursing report of a patient with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease accompanied by pulmonary infection treated with scraping moxibustion therapy combined with acupoint application, and elaborates on the treatment method of using scraping moxibustion therapy combined with acupoint application to reduce phlegm under the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine basic theory. On the basis of routine care, the patient's Du meridian (Dazhui) and bladder meridian (Feishu, Bishu) were selected for scraping and moxibustion, and the Yongquan acupoint was applied for 14 consecutive days. The patient started with frequent coughing and yellow sticky phlegm, with a daily dose of about 130-250 mL. After treatment, the patient occasionally coughed and coughed up about 20-40 mL. This method is easy to operate, effective, and provides high patient comfort, making it suitable for clinical promotion and application.
