Nursing Experience of Treating a Patient with Left Foot Erysipelas by Combined Application of Traditional Chinese Medicine Cold Compress and Red Light Irradiation
This paper summarizes the nursing experience of treating a patient with left foot erysipelas by combined application of traditional Chinese medicine cold compress and red light irradiation. Erysipelas is a common acute inflammatory skin disease. Traditional Chinese medicine cold compress, as an external treatment method in traditional Chinese medicine, has unique advantages. Before treatment, the patient's condition should be accurately evaluated, and a traditional Chinese medicine cold compress agent with the functions of clearing heat, detoxifying, cooling blood and removing blood stasis should be prepared according to the location of erysipelas, symptoms and individual conditions of the patient. During the operation, the cold compress agent should be properly applied to the lesion area. Through the dual effects of low temperature and drugs, local blood vessels contract, reducing congestion and inflammatory exudation, and alleviating symptoms such as redness, swelling, heat and pain. At the same time, it inhibits the reproduction of bacteria. During the treatment process, the local skin reaction and overall condition of the patient should be closely monitored, and the parameters such as cold compress time and drug concentration should be adjusted in a timely manner to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the treatment. Clinical practice has confirmed that traditional Chinese medicine cold compress can effectively improve the local symptoms of erysipelas patients, shorten the course of the disease, improve the quality of life of patients, and has few adverse reactions. It provides a feasible auxiliary treatment plan for erysipelas and is worthy of further promotion and application in clinical practice and in-depth research on its mechanism of action to optimize the treatment plan and better serve patients.
