Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Nursing: A Rehabilitation Case of Acute Pancreatitis with Hyperlipidemia of Damp-Heat Accumulation Type
This article summarizes the nursing experience of a case of acute pancreatitis with hyperlipidemia of damp-heat accumulation type treated by integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine. The integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine nursing model was adopted, which integrated the syndrome differentiation and treatment based on damp-heat accumulation type in traditional Chinese medicine and the precise treatment in Western medicine. The key points of nursing included closely monitoring the dynamic changes of patients' vital signs, implementing continuous gastrointestinal decompression as a characteristic of traditional Chinese medicine nursing, using traditional Chinese medicine measures to correct electrolyte disorders, providing guidance on traditional Chinese medicine dietary therapy for total parenteral nutrition support, alleviating the physical discomfort symptoms of patients through integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, and conducting emotional care and traditional Chinese health education. Before the nursing, the patient's white blood cell count was 19.74×109/L, and triglycerides were significantly elevated. After 16 days of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine nursing intervention, the patient's white blood cell count returned to the normal range, triglycerides were significantly reduced, biochemical indicators were significantly improved, clinical symptoms were significantly relieved, the treatment efficiency was significantly increased, and the patient was discharged smoothly. This integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine nursing model fully utilized the advantages of the holistic concept and syndrome differentiation and treatment in traditional Chinese medicine, combined with the precise treatment concept in Western medicine, provided comprehensive and personalized nursing services for patients, had high clinical application value, and was worthy of further promotion and application.
