Clinical Experience of Moxibustion Therapy in TCM Nursing for a Case of Facial Neuritis (Wind-Cold Attacking Collaterals Type)
This article summarizes the clinical efficacy of moxibustion therapy combined with comprehensive TCM nursing interventions in a case of facial neuritis (wind-cold attacking collaterals type). Based on TCM theory, facial neuritis is primarily caused by wind-cold invasion and meridian obstruction, with treatment principles focusing on warming meridians, dispersing cold, and activating collaterals. During nursing, acupoints on the affected side (e.g., Yangbai, Jiache, Dicang, and Yifeng) were selected for mild moxibustion, supplemented by meridian-opening and closing techniques, psychological support, dietary guidance, and facial muscle rehabilitation. This integrated approach aimed to expel wind-cold, warm meridians, and restore healthy Qi, ultimately achieving significant symptom relief and confirmed therapeutic outcomes.
