Case Nursing of "Ear Triple Therapy" Based on Syndrome Differentiation for a Patient with Granulomatous Mastitis Complicated by Bilateral Lower Limb Erythema
This article summarizes the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) nursing experience of a patient with granulomatous mastitis complicated by painful nodular erythema on both lower limbs. Through the four diagnostic methods of TCM, the syndrome was identified as "acne-like mammary abscess" (liver stagnation and spleen deficiency pattern). A comprehensive intervention combining the "Ear Triple Therapy" (auricular massage, scraping, and acupressure) with lifestyle guidance, emotional counseling, and dietary regulation based on syndrome differentiation was implemented. After the intervention, the patient's pain VAS score decreased from 7 to 3, the lower limb erythema improved from severe to mild, and the PSQI sleep score dropped from 18 to 5. The results demonstrate that syndrome differentiation nursing guided by the holistic concept of TCM can effectively alleviate symptoms, promote skin lesion recovery, and enhance quality of life, providing a practical reference for TCM-specialized nursing in similar cases.
