Application of Meridian-Guided Scraping Combined with Bloodletting Therapy in a Case of Liver-Yang Headache
This article summarizes the nursing experience of treating a patient with headache caused by excessive liver yang using acupoint scraping along meridians combined with bloodletting therapy. Under the guidance of the holistic concept of traditional Chinese medicine and the theory of syndrome differentiation and treatment, through the analysis of the cause and pathogenesis and the selection of acupoints based on meridians, acupoint scraping along meridians (with a focus on selecting acupoints of the liver and gallbladder meridians) combined with bloodletting therapy (at points such as the solar point and the Baihui point) were implemented. Simultaneously, comprehensive nursing measures were adopted, including monitoring of the condition, traditional Chinese dietary therapy (such as chrysanthemum and cinnabar tea), regulation of daily life and rest (avoiding cold exposure and regulating sleep schedule), and emotional regulation (using the five-tone therapy). The efficacy evaluation showed that the patient's numerical score for headache (NRS) decreased from 5 points at admission to 0 points at discharge, the score of the Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) decreased from 21 points to 0 points, and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) improved from 18 points to 2 points. The results indicate that this combined therapy can significantly alleviate the pain symptoms of patients with excessive liver yang headache, simultaneously improve anxiety and sleep disorders, and demonstrate the comprehensive regulatory advantages of traditional Chinese medicine external treatment methods.
