Case Report on Acupoint Application Combined with Transrectal Herbal Infusion for Ulcerative Colitis
Ulcerative colitis (UC), a chronic non-specific inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), primarily affects the mucosal layer of the colon and rectum, characterized by recurrent diarrhea, mucopurulent bloody stools, and abdominal pain. This report details the management of a UC patient through comprehensive clinical evaluation followed by combined therapy of acupoint herbal application and transrectal Chinese herbal infusion, supplemented with conventional nursing and treatment. The integrated approach effectively alleviated the patient's UC symptoms.
