A Report on Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Nursing for a Patient Undergoing Lumbar Spinal Canal Decompression with Bone Graft Fusion and Internal Fixation
This paper summarizes the perioperative integrated Traditional Chinese and Western medicine nursing experience for a patient undergoing lumbar spinal canal decompression with bone graft fusion and internal fixation. Based on conventional Western nursing care, intraoperative protection of kidney-tonifying acupoints such as Shenshu (BL 23) was emphasized, while postoperative interventions including auricular acupressure and transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) were combined with an individualized nursing plan. The results demonstrated that integrated nursing significantly reduced postoperative flatus time, improved emotional state, and shortened hospitalization duration.
