Nursing Report on the Treatment of a Patient with "Morning Diarrhea" Using Ginger-Isolated Gourd Moxibustion Based on the Theory of "Kidney as the Gate of the Stomach"
This article reports the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) nursing experience of a patient with morning diarrhea due to spleen-kidney yang deficiency. Based on the theory of "kidney as the gate of the stomach," ginger-isolated gourd moxibustion was applied to warm and tonify the spleen and kidney, consolidate the intestines, and relieve diarrhea, combined with dietary regulation and emotional intervention. After 7 days of treatment, the patient’s morning diarrhea symptoms were significantly alleviated. By day 14, the diarrhea completely disappeared, and the patient’s quality of life markedly improved.
