Nursing Care of a Postoperative Gastroparesis Patient with Esophageal Cancer Treated by Moxibustion Combined with Chinese Herbal Ointment Massage Therapy
This paper summarizes the nursing practice of a patient with postoperative gastroparesis after esophageal cancer surgery. The patient developed gastroparesis syndrome after surgery, presenting with persistent nausea, abdominal distension, and difficulty in oral feeding, and required support treatment through a duodenal nutrition tube. A combined intervention approach of traditional Chinese and Western medicine was adopted, including moxibustion and Chinese herbal ointment massage therapy. After continuous intervention for one month, the patient's digestive symptoms were significantly alleviated. This approach effectively improved the patient's nutritional status and quality of life, confirming the synergistic effect of acupoint stimulation combined with external treatment in the rehabilitation of postoperative gastroparesis, providing a practical reference for clinical nursing that can be promoted.
