Application of Spleen-Fortifying and Stomach-Regulating Techniques in a Pediatric Case of Macrolide-Induced Gastrointestinal Reactions During Mycoplasma Pneumoniae Pneumonia Treatment
This article reports a case of a 6-year-old male child with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia. The child experienced severe gastrointestinal reactions after intravenous infusion of azithromycin. Through the application of traditional Chinese medicine techniques for strengthening the spleen and harmonizing the middle, the drug-related gastrointestinal symptoms were effectively alleviated, significantly improving the child's tolerance. Eventually, the child successfully completed the anti-infection treatment and was discharged from the hospital. This case provides practical reference for the intervention of traditional Chinese medicine in drug adverse reactions during the treatment of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection in children.
