Nursing Experience of Treating One Case of Neurogenic Bladder after Spinal Cord Injury with Tongyuan Umbilical Moxibustion Combined with Low-Frequency Electrical Stimulation of Bladder
To explore the application value of Tongyuan umbilical moxibustion combined with bladder low-frequency electrical stimulation in nursing care for patients with neurogenic bladder after spinal cord injury, the nursing team implemented an integrated Chinese and Western medicine nursing plan for a patient with neurogenic bladder after C3-C4 level spinal cord injury. On the basis of routine nursing, the patient was given Tongyuan umbilical moxibustion for warming yang and benefiting qi, combined with low-frequency electrical stimulation to regulate bladder function. Meanwhile, an individualized drinking plan was formulated, pelvic floor muscle training was guided, and emotional care was provided. During the whole process, the changes of the patient's urination symptoms were dynamically monitored, and the improvement of their quality of life was evaluated synchronously. After 14 days of intervention, the patient's residual bladder urine volume decreased from 456 mL to 27 mL, the dysuria was significantly improved, and the sleep and emotional state remained good. Practice has proved that the combination of Tongyuan umbilical moxibustion and low-frequency electrical stimulation can effectively improve the function of neurogenic bladder, facilitate the patient's rehabilitation, and improve their quality of life, which fully reflects the unique advantages of integrated Chinese and Western medicine nursing and has high clinical promotion value.
