Nursing Experience of a Patient with Severe Pemphigus Complicated by Systemic Skin Infection
This article summarizes the nursing experience of a patient with severe pemphigus complicated by systemic skin infection. The patient exhibited approximately 80% skin involvement, presenting with extensive erythema, blisters, erosions, severe pain, and restricted physical mobility. Through comprehensive assessment, the medical team developed and implemented systematic nursing interventions, adopting an integrated Traditional Chinese and Western medicine approach. In addition to conventional Western treatments, the patient received wound occlusion therapy using our hospital’s self-developed Zilian Ointment-impregnated gauze to promote wound healing. After 21 days of hospitalization and nursing care, the patient showed reduced lesion area, decreased exudation, scab formation, pain relief, and effective infection control, with significant clinical improvement.
