Nursing Report on Moxibustion Therapy for a Patient with Stomach Pain due to Liver-Stomach Disharmony
This article summarizes the nursing experience of applying suspended moxibustion therapy to a patient with stomach pain caused by liver-stomach disharmony. Guided by the TCM holistic concept, precise syndrome differentiation and personalized care were implemented, integrating multidimensional interventions such as suspended moxibustion (external treatment), emotional regulation, dietary reinforcement, and lifestyle adjustments to achieve "simultaneous treatment of root and manifestation." After 10 days of intervention, the patient's epigastric distension and pain were significantly relieved, hypochondriac distension improved, appetite restored, nocturnal sleep enhanced, bowel movements regulated, and emotional stability achieved, leading to a marked improvement in quality of life. The results suggest that suspended moxibustion holds clinical value for patients with liver-stomach disharmony-related stomach pain.
