Nursing Report on Auricular Acupoint Pressure Combined with Acupoint Application for Chemotherapy-Induced Diarrhea in a Patient with Lung Adenocarcinoma
This article summarizes the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) nursing practice for a patient with lung adenocarcinoma experiencing chemotherapy-induced diarrhea. Based on conventional Western symptomatic treatment, the intervention adhered to the core principle of syndrome differentiation and nursing. By assessing the severity of diarrhea, stool characteristics, and systemic symptoms, auricular acupoint pressure combined with acupoint application was employed to restore spleen-stomach transportation and transformation functions, effectively alleviating clinical symptoms such as diarrhea and fatigue. This case highlights the pivotal role of syndrome differentiation in TCM nursing, demonstrating its potential to enhance patient comfort and clinical outcomes during chemotherapy.
