Fire Dragon Cupping Combined with Moxibustion for Alleviating Pain and Muscle Spasms in a Case of Spasmodic Torticollis with Qi-Stagnation and Blood-Stasis Pattern: A Nursing Experience
This article summarizes the nursing experience of applying Fire Dragon Cupping combined with moxibustion (FDC-M) to improve pain and muscle spasms in a patient with spasmodic torticollis of Qi-stagnation and Blood-stasis pattern. Guided by the theory of syndrome differentiation in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) nursing, the intervention integrated FDC-M therapy with lifestyle guidance, dietary modulation, emotional regulation, and functional exercises. The results demonstrated significant relief of pain and muscle spasms, along with notable improvements in anxiety and sleep quality. This approach warrants clinical promotion for its holistic efficacy.
