Traditional Chinese Medicine Characteristic Nursing Report for a Young Male Patient After Distal Radius Fracture Surgery: A Case Report
This report summarizes the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) characteristic nursing experience for a 24-year-old young male patient after bilateral distal radius fracture surgery. Focusing on the pathogenesis of "qi stagnation and blood stasis, and liver depression disturbing the mind," comprehensive measures including TCM external therapies were implemented, embodying the concept of "holistic regulation of both the body and the spirit." Following 6 weeks of systematic nursing care, the patient's swelling and pain were significantly relieved, sleep quality improved markedly, and wrist joint range of motion as well as activities of daily living were notably enhanced. Follow-up after discharge demonstrated stable therapeutic effects. The integrated TCM nursing approach centered on "removing stasis to relieve pain" and "calming the mind to regulate the spirit" can effectively improve physical symptoms as well as emotional and sleep disorders in patients after fracture surgery, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
