Nursing Experience of Herbal Wet Compress Combined with Ultrasonic Drug Penetration Therapy for a Case of Erysipelas
This article summarizes the nursing experience of treating a patient with erysipelas of the dampness-heat downward infusion type using herbal wet compress combined with ultrasonic drug penetration therapy. Targeting the symptoms of redness, swelling, and pain in the left lower limb, the patient received conventional nursing care supplemented with herbal wet compress (composed of heat-clearing and dampness-eliminating herbs) and ultrasonic penetration therapy with Compound Huangbai Liquid. Post-treatment, the patient's pain score decreased from 6 to 1, and the redness and swelling subsided. Follow-up after discharge showed no recurrence. This study suggests that the combined therapy is simple to perform, targets the affected area directly, and yields significant effects, making it an effective Traditional Chinese Medicine nursing approach for promoting recovery from erysipelas.
