Application of Copper-Bian Gua-Sha Therapy Scheduled According to Midnight-Noon Ebb-Flow Theory in a Patient with Incomplete Intestinal Obstruction: A Case Report
This article summarizes the clinical application and nursing experience of copper-bian Gua-Sha (scraping) therapy scheduled according to the midnight-noon ebb-flow theory in a patient with incomplete intestinal obstruction. In addition to basic treatments including nil per os (NPO) status and parenteral nutrition, the patient was assessed through a comprehensive analysis of the four TCM diagnostic methods, and copper-bian Gua-Sha intervention was implemented according to the time-selection principles of the midnight-noon ebb-flow theory on the basis of routine nursing care. After three sessions of scraping therapy, the patient's abdominal pain and distension were significantly relieved, flatus and formed feces were passed, the degree of suffering was reduced, and both anxiety symptoms and sleep quality were markedly ameliorated, thereby providing practical references for traditional Chinese medicine nursing care of incomplete intestinal obstruction.
