Nursing Experience of Traditional Chinese Medicine |Characteristic Techniques in Treating a Patient with Cervical Spondylosis of Blood Stasis and Qi Stagnation Syndrome
To summarize the intervention effects of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) characteristic techniques combined with holistic nursing care for an elderly patient with cervical spondylosis of blood stasis and qi stagnation syndrome complicated by hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Methods
2
A 63-year-old male patient was enrolled and received a 14-day systematic intervention. In addition to conventional Western medical treatment, the patient was provided with TCM characteristic techniques, including auricular acupoint pressing, acupoint application, TCM hot compress package, and infrared radiation therapy, along with holistic nursing measures such as pain management, comorbidity control, emotional guidance, and rehabilitation education.
Results
2
After the intervention, the patient's neck, shoulder, and left upper limb pain were significantly relieved, cervical vertebral function was markedly improved, specialized physical signs showed improvement, and blood pressure and blood glucose levels were stably controlled. The patient was subsequently discharged uneventfully.
Conclusion
2
TCM characteristic techniques combined with syndrome differentiation-based holistic nursing care demonstrate definite efficacy and a high safety profile, effectively improving clinical symptoms and physical function in elderly cervical spondylosis patients with chronic comorbidities, making this approach worthy of clinical promotion and application.
