Nursing Report on Indirect Moxibustion Combined with Acupoint Application in the Intervention of One Pediatric Patient in the Sequelae Stage of Encephalitis Following COVID-19 Infection
This article summarizes the nursing experience in intervening one pediatric patient during the sequelae stage of encephalitis using traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)-characteristic nursing techniques, including indirect moxibustion combined with acupoint application, throughout the hospitalization period. The report covers nursing assessment, nursing diagnoses, the nursing care plan, as well as the operational methods and precautions of TCM-characteristic nursing techniques, alongside routine nursing measures such as medication nursing, dietary guidance, emotional regulation, and health education. Based on the theory of TCM syndrome differentiation and individualized nursing care, the intervention of indirect moxibustion combined with acupoint application effectively improved the limb dysfunction and cognitive impairment of the child during the sequelae stage of encephalitis, thereby promoting rehabilitation and enhancing the patient's quality of life.
