Nursing Experience of Suspended Moxibustion Combined with Scalp Scraping in Ameliorating Dizziness in a Patient with Qi Deficiency and Blood Stasis Pattern: A Case Report
This article summarizes the nursing experience of applying suspended moxibustion in conjunction with scalp scraping therapy in a patient with dizziness attributed to the Qi deficiency and blood stasis pattern. On the basis of conventional treatment and standard nursing care, and guided by syndrome differentiation and pattern identification, reinforcing-pattern scalp scraping was employed to unblock the meridians and collaterals, complemented by acupoint-based suspended moxibustion to warm Yang and replenish Qi. Following one week of intervention, the frequency and duration of dizziness were markedly reduced, with notable alleviation of concomitant symptoms including fatigue, heaviness of the head, gait instability, scalp tightness, and listlessness. The circulation of Qi and blood was substantially improved, and the combined application of the two techniques yielded a synergistic therapeutic effect, ultimately enhancing the patient's quality of life.
