Perioperative Nursing Care of an Adult Patient with Anomalous Left Coronary Artery from the Pulmonary Artery Combined with Multi-Valve Disease Undergoing Combined Surgical Procedures
This article summarizes the perioperative nursing experience of an adult patient with anomalous left coronary artery from the pulmonary artery (ALCAPA) complicated by severe mitral regurgitation, tricuspid regurgitation, and a long-segment myocardial bridge in the left anterior descending artery, who underwent combined surgical procedures. Given the complex and critical condition of the patient, preoperative care focused on quintuple anti-heart-failure therapy to improve cardiac function, along with simultaneous psychological support, thereby laying the foundation for surgical intervention. Postoperative management involved precise hemodynamic monitoring, prevention and control of respiratory complications, and anticoagulation safety, complemented by cardiac rehabilitation interventions implemented throughout the entire course of treatment, which ensured surgical success and reduced mortality. The patient recovered smoothly and was discharged on postoperative day seven.
