Application of Airway Management Combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine Characteristic Nursing in an Elderly Patient with Bacterial Pneumonia Complicated by Hemoptysis
This article summarizes the nursing experience of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine nursing interventions applied to an elderly patient with bacterial pneumonia. In response to the clinical challenges of advanced age, cough and sputum production, dyspnea, bronchiectasis complicated by hemoptysis, malnutrition, hypoalbuminemia, and a high risk of aspiration, a comprehensive intervention protocol was implemented, encompassing anti-infection nursing, airway management, emergency nursing for hemoptysis, nutritional support nursing, in conjunction with traditional Chinese medicine characteristic nursing measures. Clinical practice demonstrated that this nursing protocol effectively alleviated the patient's cough, sputum production, and dyspnea, controlled the progression of hemoptysis, maintained oxygenation stability, and improved the safety of nutritional support, exhibiting positive clinical significance for promoting the recovery of patients with bacterial pneumonia complicated by bronchiectasis.
