Nursing of a patient with unstageable pressure injuries treated with integrated Traditional Chinese and Western medicine
This paper summarized the integrated Traditional Chinese and Western medicine therapy and nursing for a patient with unstageable pressure injuries. Based on the TIME (Tissue, Infection or Inflammation, Moisture, Edge) principle of wet healing and Traditional Chinese Medicine external treatment, comprehensive interventions such as dressing change, Traditional Chinese Medicine, moxibustion, Red light irradiation, psychological care, dietary regulation, health education were carried out to improve the wound healing. The wound had healed well 2 month after intervention. Integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine has distinct characteristics and advantages in the treatment of pressure injuries of different stages or types. It could reduce the pain and risk of the patient, reduce the economic burden of family, and effectively improve the quality of care.
