Nursing report on a COPD patient with mechanical ventilation intervened with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine for pulmonary rehabilitation
This article summarizes the nursing experience of combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine in pulmonary rehabilitation intervention for a COPD mechanically ventilated patient, who was successfully weaned. Based on the patient's condition, and guided by lung rehabilitation guidelines, a systematic rehabilitation assessment was conducted. The rehabilitation nursing measures including respiratory rehabilitation, muscle exercise, and appropriate Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques were adopted. At the same time, a gradual offline plan was developed. After treatment and rehabilitation exercise, the patient's clinical symptoms and activity endurance improved, and the patient successfully weaned, reducing the risk of weaning failure.
