This paper summarized the wound nursing process of a WAGner-2 diabetic foot patient. Through the integration of traditional Chinese medicine external treatment and modern nursing practice, multidimensional nursing strategies including but not limited to debridement, drainage, effusion management, curettage treatment and external application of Chinese medicine are adopted to promote the protection of the skin around the wound, immersion prevention, infection control and granulation tissue growth, while providing patients with pain management, psychosocial support and health guidance. After 25 days of comprehensive wound management, the necrotic tissue of the patient's wound bed was completely removed, the granulation tissue grew well, and the wound healed significantly, demonstrating the great potential of the combination of external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and modern wound care.
