Nursing management of a patient with abdominal distension caused by peritoneal dialysis-associated peritonitis treated by external application of Chinese herbal medicine
This paper summarizes nursing management of a case of abdominal distension caused by peritoneal dialysis-associated peritonitis, which was alleviated by the external application of rhubarb and Xuanming powder combined with egg white. The patient's abdominal symptoms were effectively relieved through basic nursing care and the integration of traditional Chinese medicine's unique external treatment methods. Moreover, proper disease management for chronic patients and regular follow-up after discharge are essential to prevent the occurrence of related complications.
