Nursing care of an elderly patient with fecal stone intestinal obstruction treated with improved high position enema technique
This article summarizes the nursing experience of using an improved high position enema technique to treat elderly patients with fecal stone type intestinal obstruction. On the basis of routine nursing, traditional medicine is combined with modern medicine to treat this disease using a self-designed formula called "Lao Ren Tong Bian Fang". The traditional Chinese medicine decoction is infused into the transverse colon and other areas through a suction tube for high-level retention enema, allowing the medicine to reach the disease site, making the scope of action of the medicine more extensive, absorption more sufficient, reducing gastrointestinal reactions of the medicine, alleviating patient pain, and thus better treating this disease. After treatment, it effectively improves the constipation symptoms of patients, reduces their pain level, and has a positive significance in promoting their recovery.
